RULES
OF DAWN FALL
GENERAL RULES
>> No one under the age of 13 may join DAWN FALL in accordance with Proboards Terms Of Service
>> Mutual respect is a must, for we do not tolerate belittling, racism, sexism or any related isms.
>> One account per member please, you may have as many characters as you can handle though.
>> Power playing is NOT ALLOWED.
>> Use the correct grammar and spelling in character and out of character along with capitalizing and punctuating properly.
>> No plagiarism, if found you will be banned.
>> Stay Active, if you have to leave for any amount of time, please post in the going away thread.
>> Swearing is allowed but not in excess.
CHARACTER RULES
>> When making a character you may edit the form any way you like but you must have the minimum information required.
>> A character may only specialize in one type of training, English or Western.
>> English has a bonus in Show Jumping, Dressage, Racing
>> Western has a bonus in Endurance, Pulling, Western.
>> One season in DAWN FALL is Three Weeks.
>> No Marry Sues or Gary Sues.
>> When you join, you will be given a start out bank balance of $5,000 dollars and TWO creation credits.
>> The two creation credits may be used to make any SOLID shade of bay, gray, black or chestnut horse with normal markings.
>> You must have a thread in the Development board tracking all your horses and items, that is until you obtain a ranch.
RPING RULES
>> Minimum Word Count is 200.
>> Liquid Time is allowed.
>> Do not chatspeak when In Character.
>> Make sure you post clearly if a thread you made is reserved for someone ells.
>> No claiming posts ahead of time, you must post with a reply.
>> Stick with the posting order, but don't bother people for their replies, they will reply.
>> First person/third person whatever is allowed but don't change mid post.
HORSE RULES
>> DAWN FALL is a semi-realistic Stable/Ranch RPG no horses may be created with horns/wings/strange colors.
>> Odd colored eyes are allowed though no glowing/cat eyes ect.
>> When you make a horse from creation credits they will have no pedigree making them foundation horses.
>> No Real Life horse names are allowed.
>> Personalities of horses must be at least 50 words.
>> A horse must retire at the age of 15.
>> A horse may breed until they are 16.
SHOW RULES
>> When entering any show please fill out the form provided and make sure you have enough funds in your bank.
>> A horse may only specialist in ONE type of show.
>> There is a special item that allows a horse to special in two, see site store for more.
>> A horse must be at least 3 years old to enter shows.
>> Shows are calculated upon STATS, Pedigree, Training, Experience, and Tack.
>> There are SIX types of shows. Show Jumping, Dressage, Endurance, Racing, Pulling, Western.
>> There are five grades. G1, G2, G3, G4 and G5.
>> G1 is 0-10 wins
>> G2 is 11-25 wins
>> G3 is 26-60 wins
>> G4 is 61-150 wins
>> G5 is 151+ wins
>> You must keep track of all the horses entered events on their profile.
BREEDING RULES
>> A mare may start breeding at 4 years old.
>> A stallion may start breeding at 3 years old.
>> Spring and Summer are Breeding Seasons.
>> Fall and Winter are Foaling Seasons.
>> A Mare may breed once a year.
>> A Stallion may breed twice a year.
>> Horses that are related may not breed.
>> There is a 10% chance of twins.
>> There is a 30% of a non-successful breeding.
STAT RULES
>> A Foundation horse has 25 points to distribute any way you want. But once you have distributed them you may not change them.
>> A Foal gains 25% of the parents stats after the first 25.
>> Show Jumping is affected by Speed and Agility
>> Dressage is affected by Intelligence, Agility
>> Endurance is affected by Endurance and Intelligence
>> Racing is affected by Endurance and Speed
>> Pulling is affected by Endurance and Strength
>> Western is affected by Intelligence and Speed
>> You gain Additional points from Training, Winning, Special events.
>> A foal will has a 50/50 chance of being the breed of the mother or the father. If the mother or father is a cross breed the foal will have a chance of being either a that cross breed or a purebred of any of the mixed breeds.
>> You have a rare chance of finding stats for the horse you are riding in any other area's you rp in as well.
TRAINING RULES
>> You may train your horses once a week in the Training Arena.
>> A Training Thread consists of your first post then a mod adding how many stats your horse gains from the session.
>> A Training post must have AT LEAST 250 words.
>> You must keep track of your horses training threads on their profile or you will not get credit for them.
>> One thread per horse, you may not train multiple horses in the same thread.
>> When you make a training thread for your horse you may reply to that same thread each week.
>> You may train as many horses as you own.
>> Trainers may obtain a special licence that allows them to train horses more than once a week. Please see site store.
>> Trainers with these special licences may offer their services to other members.
WESTERN/ENGLISH DISCIPLINES
>> Your character may train/own/show any kind of horse or Discipline, what you specialize in simply gives you a greater chance of gaining more points.>> If you are an English trainer and you train a horse with an English discipline you gain a 50% more chance of finding a greater number of points.
>> If you are a English trainer and you train a western discipline you have a regular 25% chance.
STABLE RULES
>> To obtain your own Stable/Ranch you must meet the following requirements.
> At least 50 Posts
> At least 5 Horses
> At least 15 Events Entered
>> The Perks of owning a Stable
> You may offer boarding.
> You may have a shop in your Stable.
> You may sell your horses in your Stable.
> You may Stud/Brood out your horses in your stable.
> Special Items are now available.
IMAGES
>> All Images must be copyright free.
>> You may use free greyscales or actual horse images.
>> If your images stretch the Forum you WILL be warned and then firmer actions shall be taken.
