Dastardly Wicked Prince - Training Thread

Today was the day! Lizbeth took hold of the stallion's reigns as she lead him into the open pen. This was all too familiar for Prince as he stepped away from his owner casually walking around her for a few moments as if curious of what she'd focus on today. 'Alright Prince, today I want to focus on the spanish walk,' the young woman offered a curt nod toward the ebony horse. She carefully gathered her whip raising it to touch it gently along his entire body to show him that it wouldn't hurt him. She then worded, 'step' and pressed the whip against the back of her right leg. Prince hesitated against the pressure a little unsure of the move but finally he lifted his foot but place it backwards rather than forwards.

Lizbeth chuckled outstretching her hand with a treat presented that he eagerly swallowed. 'Alright you lifted it but forward remember.' Lizbeth circled around the horse touching the whip gently along behind her as she focused on the left leg now. 'Step' With a flicker of her wrist at Prince's leg this time he lifted it up and stepped forward. 'Wonderful!' she cooed the words as she brought out another treat for the friesian. Tightening her hold on his reign she repeated the process four more times per each leg. Satisfied with the work they had done she tugged at his halter leading him out of the narrow pen. 'Looks like we just need a little more discipline and you'll be good to strut your stuff!'

Lizbeth brushed her hand down Prince's flanks gingerly as she moved to hug the horse's neck. The smoothing flow of his mane cascading along her was a welcome relief. 'You are doing so well Prince, you are such a good boy.' Prince knowing the words good boy pushed his head into her shoulder expecting a treat. The young woman burst into a chuckle as she outstretched her palm with another treat after he had taken it greedily she ran her fingers along his forehead brushing away his mane from his face. She couldn't quite get over how well he was doing and only training a few minutes a day had proved effective and Prince didn't seem to get nearly as frustrated as he did before this new timed training.
